In the third quarter of 2024, the air travel app sector on Android in Ireland presented intriguing trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps show varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Ryanair saw a fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at roughly 4K in mid-July and settling around 3.4K by the end of September. The app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, starting at approximately 17K and experiencing a minor decline to about 15.4K over the quarter.

The Aer Lingus App experienced a consistent growth in downloads, reaching its high point of approximately 2.8K in early September. Active users also showed a positive trend, increasing from about 3.9K at the start of the quarter to around 4.5K by the end.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker displayed a modest revenue stream, with weekly figures fluctuating around $1.3K to $1.5K. Downloads peaked at 1.5K in late July, while active users started at 8.5K in early July and decreased to about 8.3K by the end of September.

The Aer Lingus Play app recorded a gradual increase in downloads, reaching around 774 by the end of September. This app did not have available data for active users during the quarter.

Lastly, the Dublin Airport (Official) app had a relatively stable download rate, with figures hovering around 300 weekly downloads for most of the quarter, peaking at 449 in mid-September. Active user data was not available for this app.
